- An explanation of the execution of the “compromis de vente” (sale contract)
- Guidance and advice in relation to mortgage processes
- The deposit for the property purchase and subsequent bank transfers
- Checking of the draft final contract

All legal documentation is bi-lingual (French / English) and is recognised by the Notaires.
The assistance of our Service and Law Department is offered to all of our clients buying or
selling property in France
through the IEA France Network at no additional charge.
All costs are covered within our real estate
agency commissions.
Advice from our Service and Law Department
If you sell or buy property in France independently, either through a real estate agency
which is not a member of the IEA France Network, or buy a French property from a private
individual, the Service and Law Department of IEA France can give you professional and
independent advice on all aspects of French Property Law. This will include:-
- General advice regarding the process of the purchase
- The best way to buy property in France
- Assistance of each party and the execution of the ‘compromis de vente’ ( sale contract)
- A translation and explanation of all sale contracts not drawn up by ourselves
- Advice on inheritance issues
- Advice on all tax aspects
- Creation of a society or company (ie: the drawing up of the status and registration of the society...)
- Advice on the relevance of particular clauses in the status of the society or company
- An explanation and translation of a change of matrimonial scheme
- Advice and drawing up of a lease
Any advice given by the Service and Law Department is charged on an individual fee basis
which will be determined in accordance with the complexity of the work involved.
